East Hawaii Organics Facility (EHOF) updates Contractor Mulch Distribution Procedures

Begining September 5, 2020 Customers picking up mulch at EHOF can proceed directly to the facility and bypass the scale.  Mulch is available on a first-come-first-served and while supplies last basis.  All mulch loads must be covered prior to leaving the facility.  All customers must adhere to CDC recommended social distancing guidelines.

The following procedures will be in effect:

Residential customers will be able to obtain mulch according to the following procedures at EHOF as long as there is a supply of mulch:
• Mulch is available on the first Saturday of each month from 7:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (closed from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
• Customers will be able to obtain a maximum of 3 cubic yards of mulch
• The 3 cubic yards can be loaded mechanically or self-loaded for free 
• Residential customers are only allowed to obtain one load per day

Commercial customers will be able to obtain mulch according to the following procedures at EHOF as long as there is a supply of mulch:
• Mulch is available on the second Wednesday on each month from 7:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (closed from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
• Commercial customers will be charged a loading fee of $5.00 per cubic yard
• Commercial customers will be charged a minimum of 3 cubic yards
• Commercial customers will not be allowed to self-load
• There is no limit to the amount of mulch a commercial customer is able to obtain
• Commercial customers can obtain multiple loads in a day
• Only credit and debit cards are acceptable forms of payment
