A family calls out to the community for the safe return of a stolen Uke urn holding ashes of a lost, loved one.

Last night in Orchidland, a thief or thieves, broke into a house on Aulii road and had stolen multiple items. Among the items, was an urn carrying the remains of Thomas Ballesteros, Jr.. Thomas was murdered on June 23, 2018, on Painted Church Road in Honaunau. His ashes were placed in an urn with a Kamaka Ukulele attached to it. Thomas’ family has put out a plea to the community, to hopefully reach those responsible or anyone with information and hope for the safe return of their lost, loved one’s ashes. Anyone with information can contact the Hawaii Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, or directly to the family.
