Cyrus Jabilona Charged with Attempted Murder

Today, Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced that a Hilo man, 24 year-old Cyrus Jabilona, was charged for stabbing his ex-girlfriend during a domestic abuse incident in Hilo.
As the Complaint alleges, Jabilona was charged with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree for stabbing his ex-girlfriend multiple times with a knife, and Felony Abuse of Family or Household Member for abusing his ex-girlfriend in the presence of a minor under the age of fourteen (14).
The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Jabilona is scheduled to make his initial appearance today in Hilo District Court.
He remains in custody in lieu of $525,000.00 bail.
The investigation was handled by the Area I Juvenile Aid Section, Hawai‘i Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Ha‘aheo Kaho‘ohalahala.
