The Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area will be closed on Tuesday, August 8, from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for vector control operations.

Residents are asked to plan to travel through the area, knowing that the public restrooms and amenities at the park will not be available during vector treatment hours.

The Department of Parks and Recreation would like to thank the community for their understanding as the County works to improve the conditions at this park.

For more information, please call Park Maintenance Vector Control Supervisor at 961-8719.
