Hawaiʻi County Council Advances Key Legislation on First Reading

HILO, Hawaiʻi – The Hawaiʻi County Council deliberated and passed several bills on their first reading during meetings held on May 21 and 22, 2025. These measures address a range of issues, including the County’s upcoming fiscal year budgets, adjustments to property tax appropriations, and new regulations for transient vacation rentals.
