Hawaiʻi Police Release More Information on Kona Woman’s Drug Arrest

Hawaii Police Department arrested a Kailua-Kona woman with 16 drug and firearms offenses after a month-long collaborative drug trafficking investigation that spanned between Hawai‘i Island and Washington state.

On Thursday, April 21, 2022, investigators from the Area II Vice Section and special agents from the Department of Homeland Security arrested 44-year-old Jennifer M. Conway at the Keāhole International Airport.

During the course of their investigation, police executed search warrants on Conway’s luggage, person, vehicle, and residence, recovering approximately 800 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, approximately 50 grams of suspected heroin, approximately 2,700 fentanyl pills, two fraudulent identification cards, and an unregistered 45 caliber pistol. The recovered drugs have an estimated street value of $300,000.

On the evening of Friday, April 22, Conway was charged with three counts of promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree, seven counts of promoting a dangerous drug in the first degree, one count of drug paraphernalia, two counts of ownership prohibited, one count of mandatory registration, one count each of a promotion of a harmful drug in the third and fourth degree.

Her total bail was set at $425,250 and she remained in custody at the Kealakehe Police Station, until her initial court appearance on Monday, April 25, at the Kona District Court.
