Hawaiʻi County Liquor Commission to Hold Public Meeting

Hilo, Hawaiʻi – The Hawaiʻi County Liquor Commission will hold a public meeting on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Hilo Meeting Room, Department of Liquor Control, Hilo Lagoon Centre, 101 Aupuni Street, Unit 230.

The public can provide testimony in person or in writing. Written testimony must be received by 12:00 noon on the business day prior to the meeting by email, fax, or mail.

The agenda includes public hearings for two new liquor license applications:

  • Hamakua Distillery LLC, with the trade name Hamakua Distillery, is applying for an original Manufacturer liquor license for its business at 28-3254 Beach Road, Pepeʻekeo.
  • JKL & Associates, LLC, with the trade name E Komo Mai Diner Bar & Grill, is applying for an original Cabaret liquor license for its business at Waiakea Square Warehouse, 200 Kanoelehua Avenue, #106, Hilo.

A preliminary hearing will also be held for JR Ohana Grill, LLC, with the trade name Jackie Rey’s Ohana Grill (Kona), for the sale and transfer of a Restaurant General liquor license at its location in Kailua-Kona.

The meeting will also include announcements for future Liquor Commission meetings on October 2, 2025, in Kona and November 6, 2025, in Hilo.
