Hawaiʻi County Opens Applications for Impact Grants for FY 2025-2026

Hawaiʻi Island – The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Research and Development is now accepting proposals for its Impact Grants program for Fiscal Year 2025-2026. The grants are intended to support research, programs, or projects that have a positive impact on the community across five key areas.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) is open to projects that focus on the following categories:

  • Agriculture and Food Systems
  • Business and Industry Development
  • Community Well-Being
  • Film and Creative Industries
  • Regenerative Tourism

All proposals must be submitted online through the Department’s Grant Portal, available on its webpage at www.hawaiicounty.gov/impact.

Important Dates and Deadlines:

  • Informational Webinar: Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A link will be posted on the Impact Grant webpage.
  • Deadline for Questions: Written questions must be submitted by Friday, August 22, 2025.
  • Proposal Submission Deadline: Wednesday, October 1, 2025, by 4:30 p.m. Hawaiʻi-Aleutian Standard Time.
  • Notification of Recommendation: Monday, October 27, 2025.
