The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation announces that all County beach and shoreline parks that were closed this weekend due to Hurricane Douglas have reopened effective 7:00 a.m. Monday.

County beach parks on east-facing shores were closed effective Friday, July 24, as the storm approached.  Field reports showed that the hurricane had minimal impact on Hawai‘i Island.
