The Planning Department has been awarded federally derived funds from the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency for the “5% Shoreline& Riparian Setbacks for Hawaii County Analysis, HMPG#4366-03-05″project.

The County of Hawaii has been awarded $10,522,667 from the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, which derived from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) discretionary grant under Section 5339. These funds will be used to rehabilitate and purchase buses and related equipment and to construct bus-related facilities.

Resolution Accepting Donation Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of COVID vaccination transportation services up to $75,000 from Uber. This donation covers transportation to get to the vaccination site and to return home for both the first and second COVID vaccination shots.
Capital Budget:Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to add an appropriation to Ordinance 21-39, the Capital Budget, for their”Waianuenue Avenue Bridge Modernization”project and to appropriate $2,173,500 to the Capital Budget for this project of which$517,500 is provided by County and $1,656,000 by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
