Hawaii Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire at Eden Roc Subdivision in Mt. View

Around 6:23 am this morning, Hawaii Fire Department responded to a call for a structure fire on Alapua st in the Eden Rock Subdivision of Mountain View.

Upon the arrival of HFD at 6:45 am. The emergency Fire response team found a 600 square foot single-story residential structure fully engulfed in flames with the roof collapsed into the house. The fire was starting to spread to a 480 square foot shed exposed nearby. No occupants appeared to be at the scene.

HFD used two attack lines and 200 feet of 2.5ʻ supply line down the driveway to an emergency vehicle with 300 feet of supply line to two vehicles on Ohia avenue for water shuttle operations. The fire was under control by 6:50 am and fully extinguished by 8:24 am.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation with an estimated loss of $105,000.
