Around 10 pm a call to 911 was reported. Within 7 mins the first Fire Response team arrived on the scene to find a single story 2 bedroom (800 square feet) home, 10 by 10 shed, and vehicle on fire.  One bedroom of the house and the 10 x 10 shed was fulled engulfed. The vehicle, with its trunk area in flames. Neighbors reported to the response team that occupants were on vacation on the mainland and no occupants were in the residence.

HPD deployed two booster lines for speed and concerns about water usage due to the lack of fire hydrants in the area. HPD attacked the single bedroom that was fully engulfed first. Firefighters used defensive attacks through windows and burned through doorway. The Fire in the bedroom was extinguished and fire personnel moved on to the 10 by 10 shed still fully engulfed and the vehicle. A Fire out overhaul was done and the structure was saved with mostly heavy smoke damage. The scene was left to HPD and Fire Inspectors to determine the cause which is still under investigation.
