
UPDATE: Hawai‘i Island police report that 18-year-old Dashay Souza-Nascimento of Puna, who was reported as an endangered missing person, was located in Kea‘au on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in good health. The Hawaiʻi Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance.
HILO – Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 18-year-old Dashay Souza-Nascimento, who has been reported as missing and is considered endangered due to a medical condition.
Souza-Nascimento was last seen in the area of the 100 block of Kamehameha Avenue in downtown Hilo on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at around 7:00 a.m. He is described as local, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds, with a thin build, light brown complexion, brown curly hair, and hazel eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt with a black t-shirt over it, gray sweatpants, and black shoes.
