Hawai‘i Island Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing 18-Year-Old

HILO – Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 18-year-old Dashay Souza-Nascimento, who has been reported as missing and is considered endangered due to a medical condition.

Souza-Nascimento was last seen in the area of the 100 block of Kamehameha Avenue in downtown Hilo on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at around 7:00 a.m. He is described as local, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds, with a thin build, light brown complexion, brown curly hair, and hazel eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt with a black t-shirt over it, gray sweatpants, and black shoes.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or lead investigator Officer Noah Serrao at noah.serrao@hawaiicounty.gov.
