Hawaii Police Search for Missing Utah Man Mark Wright (LOCATED)

Hawai’i Island police report that 49-year-old Mark Wright, of Utah, who had previously been reported missing, was located by police on Tuesday evening, March 15, 2022, in Hilo in good health.

Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted in providing police with information and leads during the time Wright was missing. Information from the public often leads to the expeditious and successful conclusion of these types of cases.


Hawai‘i Island police are searching for 49-year-old Mark Wright, as family members reported him missing and are concerned for his welfare. Wright recently arrived on island from Utah and may be in the Puna or South Hilo districts.

He is described as Caucasian with a pale complexion, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 185-190 pounds, bald with a grey goatee, and blue eyes. He has the Dallas Cowboys insignia tattooed on his right calf.

Police ask anyone with information on Wright’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, or contact Officer Rodney Delima of the Puna Patrol Division at (808) 965-2716.
