Hawaii State Road Closures Planned for May 3-9: Check Before You Travel

The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced a series of lane closures scheduled for various highways across Hawaii Island during the week of May 3rd to May 9th. Motorists are advised to plan their commutes accordingly and expect potential delays. All projects are weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change without notice.

Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11):

Several sections of Mamalahoa Highway will experience single-lane closures for various maintenance activities, including grass cutting and safety improvements. These closures will affect different areas:

Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19):

The Hawaii Belt Road will also experience lane closures for geotechnical work, grass cutting, tree trimming, and shoulder work.
