Captain Cook, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiian Electric crews have scheduled utility pole replacement work along Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 11) in South Kona next week, which will require an intermittent lane closure.

On Tuesday, August 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the makai (ocean) lane of Hawaiʻi Belt Road will be closed between Opihihale Street and Ohia Malu Road in Captain Cook (mile markers 93 and 94).

Motorists are advised to plan for possible traffic delays and to drive with caution when approaching the work zone. Flagmen will be onsite to provide traffic control.
