Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiian Electric crews have scheduled utility pole replacement work along Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 11) in the Kaʻū district next week, which will require an intermittent lane closure.
On Thursday, August 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the mauka (mountain) lane of Hawaiʻi Belt Road will be closed near the intersection of Orchid Parkway in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates (mile markers 76 and 77).
Motorists are advised to plan for possible traffic delays and to drive with caution when approaching the work zone. Flagmen will be onsite to provide traffic control.
