As the Complaint alleges, Jimenez, who has two prior felony convictions, was charged with five (5) counts of Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree (possess any amount of methamphetamine, amphetamine, and/or oxycodone) and a single count each of Attempted Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Second Degree (engaged in conduct which constituted a substantial step in the distribution of any amount of methamphetamine), Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia, and Ownership or Possession of Ammunition Prohibited.

Attempted Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Second Degree and Ownership or Possession of Ammunition Prohibited are both class B felony offenses which carry a maximum penalty of ten (10) years in prison.

Jimenez will appear in Hilo District Court on Friday afternoon. He remains in custody in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.
