Hilo Man Charged With Burglary, Criminal Property Damage, Harassment, Habitual Property Crime, and Assault

Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced that a Hilo man, 30 year-old Aina Cachero was charged for burglary, criminal property damage, harassment, habitual property crime, and assault in relation to a December 26th incident at a Hilo apartment.
As the Complaint alleges, Cachero was charged with Burlgary in the First Degree, Criminal Property Damage in the Fourth Degree, Harassment, Interference with Reporting an Emergency or Crime, Assault in the Third Degree, Harassment by Stalking, four counts of Habitual Property Crime, and two counts of Criminal Trespassing in the First Degree.
Cachero remains in custody in lieu of $72,000.00 bail pending his initial appearance today in Hilo District Court.
The investigation was handled by Officers Sybastian Keltner and Chase Rasse, South Hilo Patrol, Hawai‘i Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Lucas Burns.
The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
