During the search of the residence, police recovered 1434.2 grams (3.16 pounds) of methamphetamine, 50.5 grams of cocaine, 12 grams of fentanyl, 26 live marijuana plants, 341.9 grams of dried marijuana, ammunition, various drug paraphernalia, and illegal fireworks. Officers also recovered $4385.00 in cash.
Kamau was arrested for 2 counts of Promoting a Dangerous Drug First Degree, 3 counts of Attempted Promoting a Dangerous Drug First Degree, Promoting a Dangerous Drug Second Degree, Promoting a Detrimental Drug First Degree, Promoting a Detrimental Drug Second Degree, three counts Promoting a Controlled Substance Near a Public Park, Ownership Prohibited Ammunition, and Fireworks License or Permit Required.
With cooperation between the Hawai’i Police Department Area 1 Vice Section, Homeland Security Investigations, and the County of Hawai’i Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, the U.S. Attorney’s Office has adopted the prosecution of this case.
