As the Complaint alleges, Nash was charged with Hindering Prosecution in the First Degree (rendering assistance to another person to hinder the apprehension, prosecution, conviction, or punishment of another person for a felony offense), Accomplice to Theft in the Second Degree (theft of property valued greater than $750, a Nissan truck), Unauthorized Entry Into a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree (enter a motor vehicle without being invited, licensed, or authorized), Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Second Degree (possession of one eighth of an ounce or more or methamphetamine), Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree (possession of any amount of methamphetamine), and Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia.

 

Nash remains in custody in lieu of $25,000.00 bail pending her initial appearance today in Hilo District Court.

 

The investigation was handled by Officer Preston Paglinawan, South Hilo Patrol, Officer Christopher Fukumoto, Community Policing, and Officer Michael Sailer and Detectives John Balberde and Keith Simeona, Special Enforcement Unit, Area I Criminal Investigation Section, Hawai‘i Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Soong.

 

The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
