On Friday, April 30, 2021, at 4:00 pm, the Office of Housing and Community
Development (OHCD) closed the waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV)
program with a total of 2587 pre-applications.

Due to limited funding availability, 647 pre-applications were selected randomly using a lottery system. Only these 647 pre-applications were placed on the HCV waiting list.

Placement on the waiting list does not indicate that a family is, in fact, eligible for assistance. A final determination of eligibility will be made when the family is selected from the waiting list.

The order of selection of HCV pre-applications was based on the following OHCD
preferences:

  • Families with Minor Children – 316
  • Elderly – 73
  • Disability – 234
  • Involuntarily Displaced – 0
