Is it an Outage or Did You Forget to Pay The Bill? Hawaiian Electric Releases Hawaii Island Outage Map Mobile App

HILO, Feb. 23, 2021 – Customers can now conveniently retrieve timely outage information, receive outage alerts, and see outages mapped on Hawaii Island from the Hawaiian Electric mobile app.

Available in the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores, the Hawaiian Electric mobile app is free and can be downloaded on a phone or tablet.

With the touch of a finger, customers can view a map of Hawaii Island and zoom in for details on reported outages in specific areas. Users with the geolocation feature activated on their mobile device can also see information on outages near their location.

The app also enables users to view and pay their electric bill, receive notifications, look for electric vehicle charging stations, and move or stop service.

For those who are unable to download the mobile app, the outage map is available online at hawaiianelectric.com/HawaiiOutageMap.
