Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced that a Keaukaha man, 34 year-old Spenser John Feary was charged in relation to an October 30th auto break-in and a November 11th possession of methamphetamine and heroin incidents.
As the Complaint alleges, Feary was charged with Unauthorized Entry into Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, Attempted Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle in the First Degree (a 2000 Honda Civic), Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree (possession of any amount of methamphetamine and/or heroin), Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Without a License, Reckless Driving, and No No-Fault Insurance. Review of court records indicate that Feary is out on bail pending felony charges in an unrelated September 2020 case.
Feary was being held on a $33,000.00 bail scheduled to make his initial appearance today in Hilo District Court.

The investigation was handled by officers with South Kohala and South Hilo Patrol and the Area I Vice Section, Hawai‘i Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Sylvia Wan.
The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
