The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Environmental Management notifies drivers of a single lane closure on Kino‘ole Street between Ponahawai Street and Alenaio Lane in Hilo, for repairs to existing sewer manholes.

The mauka (southbound) lane closure will be in effect for the duration of the repair work, which is expected to begin on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from about 7:30 a.m. and continue until about noon.

Flaggers will be on-site to provide traffic control. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow for extra travel time to get to their destinations.

The Department of Environmental Management apologizes for any inconvenience this may
cause.
