Kona Man Arrested on Numerous Drug and Firearm Offenses Following Narcotics Search Warrant

KONA, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiʻi Island police have arrested and charged William Kaohu, a 54-year-old Kailua-Kona man, with multiple drug and firearm offenses following the execution of a narcotics search warrant at his residence.

At approximately 6:03 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Vice West Section conducted the search at Kaohu’s home in the 74-700 block of Paia Place.

During the search of the residence and property, police recovered a substantial amount of illicit items, including:

After conferring with the Hawaiʻi County Prosecutor’s Office, Vice detectives formally charged Kaohu with the following offenses:

Total bail for Kaohu has been set at $669,000. He currently remains in custody, awaiting his initial court appearance.
