KONA, HAWAI’I – The Hawai’i Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a violent assault that occurred at a Kailua-Kona retail shopping center on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
According to police reports, officers responded to a call in the 74-5400 block of Makala Boulevard at approximately 6:00 p.m. after a man reported a disturbing incident. The victim stated he was forcibly shoved head-first into a urinal in a public restroom, resulting in pain to his jaw.

The suspect is described as possibly being of Micronesian descent, standing between 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, and having no visible tattoos. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a black hat, a red shirt, light-colored shorts, and black shoes.
