Kupu ʻĀina Corps Program

The Kupu ʻĀina Corps program is a new initiative that provides temporary employment for those who are interested in exploring environmental and sustainability related work.  Positions with Kupu are available at conservation and agriculture based host sites throughout the islands of Hawaiʻi. Kupu’s network of partner organizations and agencies are able to offer unique and exciting positions in various fields, including ornithology, botany, natural and aquatic resource management, marine biology, Hawaiian cultural studies, agricultural science and more!

The key objectives of the Kupu ʻĀina Corps are to:

  • Provide paid, career building employment opportunities for individuals who are are not only excited about these fields, but have been furloughed, unemployed, or are recent graduates seeking opportunities due to COVID-19.
  • Upskill!  This program will strengthen your skills and add important credentials to your resume.
  • Make a difference!  The Kupu ʻĀina Corps aims to help Hawaiʻi’s amazing non-profit, government, and for-profit entities get important work done during these challenging times.  Host site funding for this program will cover the full cost for members.
