
Mountain View, HI – A Mountain View man, Jason T. Law, 35, has been arrested and charged with sexual assault in the first degree in connection with an incident that occurred on April 7, 2025, at a residence in Mountain View.
Law is accused of sexually assaulting a minor who was less than fourteen years of age. He is currently in custody and scheduled to make his initial appearance in Hilo District Court Thursday afternoon. Bail has been set at $900,000.00.
According to the complaint, Law faces a Class A felony charge, Sexual Assault in the First Degree, which carries a potential sentence of twenty years in prison.
“The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty,” stated a release from the Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
The case was initiated by Officer Christian Madera of the Puna Patrol, with the felony investigation being handled by Officer Corey Kaneko of the Area I Juvenile Aid Section of the Hawai‘i Police Department. Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Kirsten Selvig is prosecuting the case.
