Honolulu, HI – In an effort to promote the importance of Native Hawaiian civic engagement and turnout at the polls, a collaboration of community organizations will be organizing a sign-waving event in front of at ʻIolani Palace (along King Street) and a new press conference in front of Honolulu Hale on Monday, August 1, 2022.
The event will begin with sign waving along King Street (near ʻIolani Palace) at 11:00 a.m. Participants will march from ʻIolani Palace to the Voter Service Center at Honolulu Hale at 11:30 a.m. to drop their ballots in the voter service box. A press conference with event organizers will take place at 11:45 a.m.
