Pāhala, HI – Robert “Tamatoa” Teinauri-Carman, 40, of Ocean View, was apprehended by Hawai’i Police Department detectives in Pāhala this morning. Teinauri-Carman was located near Highway 11 around 7:00 a.m. and taken into custody.

His arrest stems from two outstanding warrants: one related to an indictment and another for revocation of release of bail. Police issued a media release late yesterday afternoon alerting the public that Teinauri-Carman was wanted on these warrants and was considered armed and dangerous.

In addition to the warrants, Teinauri-Carman was also wanted for questioning regarding a 2022 burglary that occurred in the Hawai’i Ocean View Estates subdivision in the Ka‘ū district.

The Hawai’i Police Department has expressed its gratitude to the public for their assistance in this investigation. The apprehension of Teinauri-Carman marks the successful conclusion of Report No. 25-025592.
