Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a piece of men‘s jewelry stolen from a department store in Hilo over the weekend.
At 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, store employees reported that a woman grabbed a gold-colored ring studded with rows of clear and dark-colored stones and ran out of the store, heading westbound on Puainako Street.
The ring is valued at approximately $3,400.
The female suspect is described as local with a stocky build, 5 feet tall, with short hair. She was wearing a camouflage-patterned fanny pack at the time of the incident.
