Police renew request seeking public’s assistance locating Runaways

Hawai’i Island police are renewing their request in asking for the public’s assistance in locating a handful of Missing Runaways. None of these cases are related besides the fact that none of the runaways have been located from the most recent missing date.

16-year-old Keith Fukunaga of Kurtistown, a reported runaway, who was last seen in the Kurtistown area on July 20, 2020.

Fukunaga is described as being of Asian ancestry, 5’-6” tall, 135 pounds, with short black hair, medium complexion, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweat-shirt, gray shorts, and a black baseball cap. He may be in the Hawaiian Paradise Park area.

16-year-old Makahiki Ikaika Moala, a reported runaway, who was last seen in the Hilo area on July 29, 2020, at 4:30 p.m.

He is described as 5’-8” tall, 170 pounds, having a dark complexion, short black hair, and brown eyes. Moala was last seen wearing gray and blue plaid shorts, a gray T-shirt, and white athletic shoes.

awai’i Island police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Chanastie K. Caitano, a reported runaway, who was last seen in the Mountain View area on August 11, 2020, at 1:30 a.m.

Described as being 5’-3” tall, 133 pounds, having a medium complexion, shoulder length brown hair, and brown eyes, Caitano was last seen wearing black spandex shorts and a white windbreaker jacket.
