Police Search for Kea‘au Runaway (Located)

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, 14-year-old Jaidon Wieland-Vierra, was located in Puna in good health.


Hawaiʻi Island police report that 14-year-old Jaidon Wieland-Vierra located in Puna in good health on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021.

Wieland-Vierra subsequently ranaway again on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021,  and was last seen in the 1700 block in Hilo.


Hawai‘i Island police are providing an update on 14-year-old Jaidon Wieland-Vierra, who was reported as a runaway earlier this week.

On the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, Wieland-Vierra, was located in Puna in good health. However, a few hours later at 11:00 a.m., she reportedly ran away again. Wieland-Vierra was last seen in the 1700 block of Kino‘ole Street in Hilo.


Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Jaidon Wieland-Vierra, who was reported as a runaway.

Wieland-Vierra was last seen in the Kea‘au area on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. wearing a Kea‘au High School blue colored polo shirt, white shorts, and sneakers.

Wieland-Vierra is described as being local with a light complexion, 5 feet tall, 105 pounds, with long red hair and brown eyes. She has piercings on her lip and both nostrils.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Wieland-Vierra’s whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
