Hawai‘i Island police report that 17-year-old Makahiki Moala, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located in Hilo in good health on August 23, 2021.

Hawaiʻi Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a juvenile male who was reported as a runaway.
16-year-old Makahiki Ikaika Moala was last seen in the Hilo area on July 29, 2020 at approximately 04:30 PM. He is described as being 5-feet-8-inches,170 pounds, having a dark complexion, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing gray and blue plaid shorts, a gray T-shirt, and white athletic shoes.
