HILO, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle and its operator in connection with an ongoing investigation in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision of Pāhoa. The incident in question occurred on April 5, 2025.
Authorities have released images from video surveillance footage captured in the parking lot of a local business. The suspect vehicle is described as a white, early 2000s two-door pickup truck with an unknown make or model, and notably features a utility box in its bed.
The operator of this white pickup truck is described as a Caucasian male, in his mid-40s, approximately 6 feet tall, and weighing around 190 pounds. He has clean-cut, short white hair and white facial hair, possibly unshaven.
