Police Seek Public’s Help Nearly 8 Months After Pāpaʻikou Road Rage Incident

Pāpaʻikou, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a road rage incident that occurred in the area of the Onomea Scenic Route in Pāpaʻikou on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

A 60-year-old male visitor reported that while he was driving on Hawaiʻi Belt Road, he pulled over to the side to allow another vehicle to pass. The suspect, who was in the vehicle behind him, reportedly stopped, approached the victim, and struck the man four times through his open window.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s to early 30s. There is currently no description available for the suspect’s vehicle.
