
UPDATE: Hawai‘i Island police report that 14-year-old Zealand Brickwood, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located in Puna on Friday, April 11, in good health.
Mountain View, Hawai’i – The Hawai‘i Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Zealand Brickwood, who was reported missing on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
According to the Puna Patrol, Brickwood was last seen at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Rose Street in the Fern Acres subdivision within Mountain View. He was wearing a black hat, a royal blue t-shirt, blue denim shorts, and black socks with sandals at the time of his disappearance.
Brickwood is described as having a tan complexion and a thin build. He stands approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Officer Heiarii Lee Chip Sao of the Puna Patrol is leading the investigation. The case is filed under report number 25-031716.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding Brickwood’s whereabouts to contact the Hawai‘i Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311. Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be crucial in helping to locate Zealand Brickwood and ensure his safe return.
