Police Seeking Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Hilo Assault Investigation

Hilo, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an ongoing assault investigation that occurred in Hilo on April 27, 2025.

Authorities have released a surveillance image of the individual, which was captured from a business in the 100 block of Puainako Street.

The person of interest is described as a Caucasian man in his 20s to 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, with short blond hair and possibly unshaven.
