Police Seeking Runaway Teen Makoa Gonsalves from Honokaʻa

HONOKAʻA, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiʻi Island police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Makoa Gonsalves, who was reported as a runaway from the Honokaʻa area.

Gonsalves was last seen in Honokaʻa yesterday, Thursday, June 12, 2025, around 11:00 a.m. At the time, he was wearing an unknown-colored shirt and shorts, camouflage Crocs, and carrying a red backpack.

He is described as Portuguese with a thin build, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with short black hair with a fade, and brown eyes.

Police are asking anyone with information on Makoa Gonsalves’ whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
