Honolulu, HI – The Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC), a division of the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, has announced a virtual public hearing to discuss proposed amendments to Chapter 15-308 of the Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR), concerning the “State Assisted Sales and Lease Program.” The hearing is scheduled for May 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
The proposed amendments aim to clarify the process of verifying eligible purchaser requirements for lower-cost housing units prior to the close of sale. This clarification is intended to ensure the preservation of initial verification and continued eligibility of purchasers benefiting from the program. In addition to these clarifications, the amendments also include necessary corrections, such as referencing the correct section of HHFDC’s repurchase price guidelines.
The virtual public hearing will be held via Microsoft Teams. Interested individuals can access more information and a link to the hearing on the HHFDC website: https://dbedt.hawaii.gov/hhfdc/.
