Puna Interagency Warrant Sweep Results in Seven Arrests

A warrant sweep by officers of the Hawai‘i Police Department was conducted in Puna on Thursday, June 9, 2022, resulting in the arrest of seven wanted individuals (including one juvenile male) for a total of 10 outstanding warrants and drug offenses. The warrants were for contempt of court, violating conditions of bail, and warrants of arrest. The juvenile male was arrested for contempt of court and for a runaway offense.

During the sweep, officers were conducting a search of a property for wanted suspects and located Torres who was arrested for drug offenses.
