47-year-old Derek Lee Kalani Aiona, who was reported missing in August 2020 was located located in good health at a residence in Kea‘au on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Upon being located, Aiona was arrested for an outstanding electronic traffic warrant.
Aiona location and arrest was a collaboration of tips from the public through Big Island Thieves Instagram, County of Hawai’i Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and Hawaii Police Department.
