Reminder: Real Property Tax Filing Deadline for Dedications

Hilo, Hawaiʻi – The deadline for filing a petition to dedicate property or to renew an expiring dedication is Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Your petition must be filed with the Real Property Tax office on or before this date, or mailed with a postmark on or before September 2, 2025.

Property can be dedicated for the following uses: Commercial Agricultural, Open Space, Historic Residential, or Native Forest. For information about these programs and the necessary petitions, you can visit www.hawaiipropertytax.com. All petitions must be filed on time and include all required attachments.
