State Road and Highways Roadwork and Lane Closures for April 23 – 29, 2021

 — MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) MOUNTAIN VIEW

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 22 and 23, Old Volcano Road and Alii Kane Street, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for mulching and grass cutting.

2) CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 85 and 86, Hawaii Belt Road and Old Mamalahoa Highway, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

3) KONA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 107 and 109, Rabbit Hill Road and Mamalahoa Highway, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for mulching and grass cutting.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction near mile marker 13.8, near Kolekole Beach Park, on Saturday, April 23 through Friday, April 29, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for bridge repair work.

2) HONOMU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

Kolekole Bridge at mile marker 14.27 on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) is weight restricted to 12 tons (24,000 lbs.) until further notice. The speed limit in the area is reduced to 25 mph. See https://hidot.hawaii.gov/highways/weight-limit-for-kolekole-bridge-now-12-tons/ for details.

3) PAPAALOA

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 23 and 25, Kapehu Road and Puualaea Homestead Road, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

4) PAAUILO

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 32 and 38, Ke Ehia Place and Kalopa Road, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for tree removal.

5) PAAUILO

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 35 and 40, Ke Ehia Place and Kalopa Lower Road, on Monday, April 25 through Wednesday, April 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for installation of monument markers.

6) HONOKAA

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 45 and 47, Kapuna Road and Homestead Road, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and shoulder work.

— KAWAIHAE ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) WAIKOLOA

Single lane closure on Kawaihae Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 69 and 75, Hapuna Beach Road and Waikoloa Beach Drive, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.

— PAHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) PAHOA

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 3, Hawaii Belt Road and Keaau-Pahoa Road, on Friday, April 15, and Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for installation of new traffic signal indicators.

2) PAHOA

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction near mile marker 15.4, Alaili Road, on Friday, April 15, and Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement and guardrail improvements.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

1) KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.9 and 6.9, Saddle Road and Cross Island Road, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for shoulder widening, installation of rumble strips and other safety improvements.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

1) KAMUELA TO HAWI

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 13, Kohala Mountain Road and Puuhue Road, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.
