PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

 

— KUAKINI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) KEAUHOU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 118 and 119, Kuakini Highway and Hawaii Belt Road, on Saturday, March 5 through Monday, March 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for mulching and mowing.

 

 — MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) HONAUNAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 87 and 88, Ohana Road and Lani Kona Road, on Saturday, March 5 through Monday, March 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

 

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction near mile marker 13.8, near Kolekole Beach Park, on Saturday, March 5 through Friday, March 11, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for bridge repair work. 

 

2) HONOMU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

Kolekole Bridge at mile marker 14.27 on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) is weight restricted to 12 tons (24,000 lbs.) until further notice. The speed limit in the area is reduced to 25 mph. See https://hidot.hawaii.gov/highways/weight-limit-for-kolekole-bridge-now-12-tons/ for details.

 

3) HONOMU

Right lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in the southbound direction near mile marker 15.4, Old Mamalahoa Highway, on Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for Hakalau Stream Bridge rehabilitation and testing.

 

4) PAPAALOA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 21 and 22, Huli’ili’i Stream and Weloka Stream, on Saturday, March 5 through Monday, March 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and shoulder work. 

 

— PAHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) PAHOA

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 3, Hawaii Belt Road and Keaau-Pahoa Road, on Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for installation of new traffic signal indicators.

 

2) PAHOA

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction near mile marker 15.4, Alaili Road, on Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement and guardrail improvements.

 

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

1) KAMUELA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 3 and 7, near Saddle Road, on Saturday, March 5 through Monday, March 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

 

2) KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.9 and 6.9, Saddle Road and Cross Island Road, on Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for shoulder widening, installation of rumble strips and other safety improvements.

 

— SADDLE ROAD (ROUTE 200) —

1) KAMUELA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Saddle Road (Route 200) possible in either direction between mile markers 28 and 29, Menehune Road and Army Airbase Road, on Saturday, March 5 through Monday, March 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for mulching and tree trimming.

 

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

1) KAMUELA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 14, Kohala Mountain Road and Puuhue Road, on Saturday, March 5 through Monday, March 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.
