Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE (ROUTE 11) —

1) HILO

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 0 and 3, Banyan Drive and E Palai Street, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) NAALEHU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 66 and 68, in the vicinity of Haao Springs Road and 68 Mile Road, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

2) CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 108 and 109, in the vicinity of Kiloa Road and Nanaina Lani Place, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grading shoulders and sidearm mowing.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HILO

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 4 and 5, Wainaku Street and Kahoa Place, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and shoulder work.

2) PAPAIKOU

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile marker 6.3, near Kapue Stream, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for sewer force main repair.

3) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction near mile marker 13.8, near Kolekole Beach Park, on Saturday, May 21 through Friday, May 27, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for bridge repair work.

4) HONOMU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

Kolekole Bridge at mile marker 14.27 on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) is weight restricted to 12 tons (24,000 lbs.) until further notice. The speed limit in the area is reduced to 25 mph. See https://hidot.hawaii.gov/highways/weight-limit-for-kolekole-bridge-now-12-tons/ for details.

5) HAKALAU

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 14 and 16, vicinity of Umauma Stream and Kolekole Beach Park, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

— KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD/ PAHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) KEAAU

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 3, Highway 130 intersection with Hawaii Belt Road and Keaau High School, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for installation of advance traffic signal indicators.

2) PAHOA

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction near mile marker 15.4, Alaili Road, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement and guardrail improvements.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) — 

1) KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.9 and 6.9, Saddle Road and Cross Island Road, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for shoulder widening, installation of rumble strips and other safety improvements.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

1) KOHALA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction between mile markers 4 and 5, Kawaihae Road and Anekona Street, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and shoulder work.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) KOHALA

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 7, Kaewa Place and Kaala Road, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and shoulder work.
