State Road and Highways Roadwork and Lane Closures for November 6 – 12, 2021

Hawaii Island lane closures scheduled for the week of November 6 – November 12

PLEASE NOTE:
Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veteran’s Day, unless permitted. Highway 130 special use lanes will not be operational.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) PAHALA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 53 and 54, Maile Street and Kaalaiki Road, on Saturday, Nov. 6 through Monday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

2) HONAUNAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 98 and 99, on Tuesday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

3) CAPTAIN COOK TO HONAUNAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 103 and 110, Alii Drive and Koa Road, on Monday, Nov. 8 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving work.

 

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) LAUPAHOEHOE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 24 and 26, Kaiwilahilahi Stream and Kapili Stream, on Saturday, Nov. 6 through Monday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

— QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

1) KONA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 96 and 97.5, Ala Nui Kaloko and Kealakehe Parkway, Saturday, Nov. 6 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for drainage work.

 

— KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) KEAAU

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 0 and 2.1, Hawaii Belt Road and Opukahala Street, Monday, Nov. 8 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for paving work.

 

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

1) KAMUELA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.5 and 2.5, Waimea-Kohala Airport Road and Mamalahoa Highway, on Saturday, Nov. 6 through Monday, Nov. 8, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder and landscaping work.

2) KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 3, Waimea-Kohala Airport Road and Mamalahoa Highway, on Tuesday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 12, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) KAPAAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 24 and 27, Akana Place and Waikama Road, on Saturday, Nov. 6 through Monday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for shoulder and landscaping work.

2) KAPAAU

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 25 and 27, Makapala Road and Waikama Road, on Tuesday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for landscaping and tree trimming work.
