State Road and Highways Roadwork and Lane Closures for September 3 – 9, 2021

FOR THE WEEK OF  SEPTEMBER 3 – SEPTEMBER 9

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime closures on Monday, September 5, in observance of Labor Day. The AM northbound Highway 130 Contraflow does not operate on State Holidays.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) NAALEHU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 65 and 67, Kaalualu Road to vicinity of Ailani Orchards, on Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass mowing/trimming.

2) NAALEHU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 67 and 69, vicinity of Ailani Orchards to South Point Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for grass mowing/trimming.

3) CAPTAIN COOK (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 108 and 109, Government Main Road and Captain Cook Village Road, on Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work and mechanical mowing.

4) CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 108 and 110, Keei/Rabbit Hill Road and Captain Cook Village Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscaping.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY/QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

1) KAMUELA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway/Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 67 and 69.5, vicinity of Hapuna Beach Road and Waialea Bay, Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for vegetation cutting.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HONOMU

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 11 and 13, vicinity of 28-1241 Old Mamalahoa Highway and Honomu Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscaping.

2) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 14.2 and 14.3, vicinity of Kolekole Stream, on Saturday, Sept. 3, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for bridge work. There is no scheduled work on Monday, Sept. 5.

3) HAKALAU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

5) HONOKAA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 44 and 46, vicinity of Kapuna Road, Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work, tree mulching and mowing with side arm.

4) HONOKAA

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 45 and 46, vicinity of Kapuna Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and mulching.

— KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD/ PAHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) PAHOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 8 and 10, Ainaloa Boulevard and Keonepoko Water Spigots, Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work and mechanical mowing.

2) PAHOA

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 10 and 12, vicinity of Keonepoko Water Spigots and Pahoa Village Road, Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for shoulder work and landscaping.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

1) WAIKOLOA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.7 and 12.2, vicinity of Waikoloa Road, Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for resurfacing.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

1) KOHALA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 13, vicinity of Ponoholu Ranch, Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for shoulder work, landscaping, and vegetation cutting.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) HAWI (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 15 and 17, vicinity of Honoipu-Puuhue Road and Coast Guard Road, on Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping maintenance, tree trimming, and shoulder work.
