State to Host Virtual Consumer Education Fair

The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) will commemorate National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) from March 7th to 11th by hosting a free NCPW Virtual Consumer Fair with workshops held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily. Information and workshop links can be found at cca.hawaii.gov/ncpw.

“The purpose of the fair is to promote consumer education by providing free information that will help avoid identity theft, frauds and scams,” said DCCA Director Catherine Awakuni Colón.  “We encourage residents to attend the free workshops and hear from some fraud experts.”

Consumers can also request a free Consumer Wise packet with a collection of brochures covering various consumer issues by emailing education@dcca.hawaii.gov
